Tidal Dreamings Surf and Yoga Retreats
Surf & Yoga Retreats: Australian BeachesThe energy that flows within us and around us moves in natural rhythms – just like the tidal ebb and flow of the ocean.
Tidal dreamings is the representation of this energy and the ability in all of us to consciously connect with the energy or prana that governs all life.
We invite you on this journey to experience the power of a surf and yoga retreat for yourself. Whether it is the physical challenge of learning to surf, the centering of a daily yoga and meditation practice, the nourishment of a pure and healthy diet or simply the reassurance of friendly dinner conversation!
A surf and yoga retreat cannot help but to enhance your life.

The last two seasons have been very successful for our unique surfing and yoga retreats. We received some great media coverage in magazines such as Women's Health, Australian Yoga Journal, The Sydney Morning Herald and our entertaining slot on the Sydney Weekender (just to mention a few). Check out our reviews page to read about our surfing and yoga stories. We also seeing more and more women who have experienced the joy of a Tidal Dreamings surfing and yoga retreat are returning each year, often bringing their friends along for another retreat.
Loyalty Program: to encourage our enthusiastic participants to spread the love and continue recruiting other surfing and yoga hopefuls, this season we will be offering a %15 discount for all past clients who bring a friend along to the next retreat.
A surf and yoga retreat is also a fantastic way to meet other active, motivated and aware people and many friendships are made, with ladies now networking and getting together to keep surfing once they return home! To stay in touch with other participants, share images and meet other like-minded people you can now become a fan of Tidal Dreamings Surf and Yoga Retreats on Facebook.

You can also read more here about the author Kris McIntyre's tips for yoga poses to improve your surfing at the bottom of her retreat review. To be a good surfer, you need to have power in your lower body, a low centre of gravity and strong belly tension. These exercises (practised a couple of times a week) will help you get there.
How quickly the time passes by. It seems like just moments ago i was saying good-bye to my joyous group of new surfing buddies after our retreat finnished on June 6th in Bali. I had 6 more weeks of surfing, yoga and chilling out on my own surf holiday which seemed like forever at the time. All the while the emails kept rolling in participants telling me how much fun they had and PLEASE can we go again?
Now i am back in Austalia and it is amazing to witness just how quickly you can click back into "thinking mode" and get caught up in the daily routine of the developed world. They say the real learning comes once you return home after any inspiring journey. That is when the lessons really become apparent about taking what you have learnt and applying it to your daily life. Whether it is taking time to meditate or spending time in nature (such as the ocean) or keeping up an exercise routine it is important to continue to tap into the stillness and feeling of well- being that you cultivated, whether it was on retreat or any holiday. Take this time to connect with yourself and the energy that you harnessed to allow you to challenge yourself on so many levels. And most importantly remind yourself of the success you experienced as a result! Lessons that we learn on retreat are universal and often follow us through our lifetime. And of course there is the surf and the yoga! Almost all participants continue to practice or are excited about signing up for another retreat to learn more and experience the fun, sun, surf and good food all over again! Many return home and tell me they have made major changes in their life that are more in line with their true nature. Whether is is in work, relationship or living location (preferably near a beach of course!) The Bali retreat truly was amazing and such good times were had by all. But dont take my word for it.

Its supposed to be the middle of winter and we are all excited about snow and all things cosy when Sydney Weekender calls me and asks if we can put together a surf and yoga retreat for a surfing special that will air on the 26th September. Next Week!Smile for the Tv Camera
Lucky for us this week the winter seems to be well and truly over with temperatures hitting the 30's so getting into our yoga gear for a great mid morning session on the deck is far more achievable! Of course the water is still pretty chilly but we were in good spirits and got out there catching some waves for the camera!
All in all it was a really fun day with the girls and older gals playing up to the camera whether they had never done a yoga pose before or they were first timers in the surf. There are some funny scenes with the producers and even the host hooting with laughter at our enthusiasm at the rediculous tasks they Vegetarian is Yummygave us. I guess it just goes to show getting the girls together and asking them to have fun is not difficult as they strike some yoga poses, eat some scrumtious healthy food and scream as they hurtle towards the water camera.
What can i say girls know how to have a good time.
Look out for the Surfing Special on Sydney Weekender set to air on September 26 at 5.30pm on Channel 7
